Nurse Practitioner – Sexual Health

Band 7 – full time salary £35,367 per annum

18 hours per week

PULSE is proud to have been given the opportunity to assist a nationwide organisation renowned for providing sexual health services. We are looking for a Nurse Practitioner to manage a small clinical team in South West London.  The current team works to provide regular specialist nurse-led clinics as part of their on-site health services for the community. We are looking for a Sexual Health experienced nurse to now join this team.  

As the Nurse Practitioner, you will be ensuring the smooth delivery of the service addressing the particular needs of the community who are especially vulnerable to STI’s and sexual ill-health.  Other responsibilities will involve:

• Manage clinical caseload
• Deliver health promotion
• To ensure a coordinated approach to diagnostic testing and treatment
• Support the training and development

This Nurse Practitioner will hold a minimum of 2 years post-registration experience in a sexual health/GUM setting to lead the development and delivery of the service. You will need to be committed to providing a high standard of clinical care.

The post provides the opportunity to access a clinical education programme and ongoing professional development, together with access to training opportunities.

The service is delivered in partnership with primary care and specialist health services. The Nurse Practitioner may be requested to assist the primary care nurses to develop their knowledge, skills and practice in sexual health.
