Here is what you can expect to be doing on a day-to-day basis:

Support the Home Manager in the operational management of the home. You’ll help to lead and develop a successful team of nurses and care assistants, assessing resident’s individual needs and making sure that they all receive the highest standard of care.

Provide clinical leadership and support. You’ll use your skills and experience to provide training, guidance and relevant direction to a multi-skilled workforce.

Promote the home in the local community. By building relationships with other local healthcare providers, GPs and the local PCT, you’ll help to market the home and maintain high occupancy levels.

Oversee and assist in all aspects of nursing care. Taking the clinical lead you’ll deliver and monitor all aspects of care across the home, making sure that care plans are completed and residents are assessed and continually reassessed.

You just need to possess a First Level Registration, be able to prioritise and organise your own workload and be an excellent time manager. You’ll also need to be self-motivated and able to focus on numerous tasks and challenges at once.
