We are currently seeking a Senior Project Estimator for our EPC Client based in Paddington, London. The Project Estimator will handle, manage and lead medium and large EPC oil and gas project estimates. They will deal with complex major estimates while under the supervision and guidance of the estimating manager.
Responsible for the management and performance of the estimate related activities for a project estimate, the Senior Project Estimator will:
• Deal with conceptual and detailed estimates
• Understand project and contract requirements to ensure the estimate is in accordance with the contract
• Lead an estimating team, including detail & discipline estimators
• Develop the estimate plan in accordance with the execution strategy and sales strategy
• Setup up and maintaining the estimate files
• Coordinate with other team members (engineering, procurement, subcontracts, construction) to define and obtain information needed for the estimate
• Ensure that the estimate efforts occur in the proper sequence, within the scheduled time frame and meet the requirements of the execution strategy, sales strategy, and contract
• Ensure that the estimate is complete, correct, and accurate
• Develop the basis of estimate document including qualifications
• Review the appropriate sections of proposal to ensure alignment between the estimate and the proposal
• Lead Estimate Reviews
• Communicate the Basis of Estimate to the Project Team
• Conform the Estimate to As Sold Contract Requirements
For this role we are seeking someone with experience in the petrochemical industry. They will have experience of managing and leading small and medium sized Lump Sum EPC oil and gas project estimates with minimal supervision. They will also have the ability to organise and plan the estimating effort, including leading and guiding the discipline estimators. The selected candidate will ideally be degree qualified with database and MS Projects experience.
