My client a prestigious EPC oil and gas company is seeking entry level Planner with experience of working with Primavera P6. The candidate will be required to under close supervision perform routine aspects of planning & scheduling. The candidate will apply basic knowledge of Project Controls principles and performs specific and limited portions of planning & scheduling assignments.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Be familiar with procurement, materials control, estimating and cost engineering techniques. Be familiar with planning & scheduling best practices and company standards.

Under supervision be able to participate in writing parts of the Planning & Scheduling plan as part of the Project Controls Execution Plan. Demonstrate the ability to understand the concept of the WBS.

Under supervision be able to prepare partial logic network schedules on any type of project (Basic E, E, P, EP, EPC, EPFCPMC, Multi-office).

Under supervision, be able to setup and use physical progress measurement based on earned value principles, using the company standards.

Under supervision, be able to prepare and explain an effective Critical Path schedule, including the use of all associated information.

Under supervision, begin to understand how to analyze the schedule, manpower and progress data, and to communicate to management the findings.

Assist with producing the internal and client progress reports.

Be able to assist in performing a Monte Carlo schedule analysis, using the company tools.

Be able and prepared to execute lower grade tasks if necessary.

Experience

Advanced Technical Education (B.Sc./M.Sc. or equivalent) or matching work experience.

Candidates can have experience of working in other industries as long as they are proficient in Primavera P6.
