WE ARE PLEASE TO INVITE CANDIDATES TO APPLY FOR THIS EXCITING NEW POSITION; ON BEHALF OF OUR CLIENT WE ARE LOOKING TO RECRUIT A SCRUB NURSE WITH EXPERIENCE IN ORTHOPEADICS.

Background:

The successful candidate will be joining UK’s leading independent healthcare provider specialising in wide range of treatments. The hospital provides first – class, independent healthcare for the local community in a safe, comfortable and welcoming environment.

Role:

As the post holder you will be responsible for assisting in the assessment and implementation of patient care needs within the Operating Department. You will maintain and develop a high standard of nursing care, communicating effectively with clients, relatives and all other members of the multidisciplinary team. You will work towards acting as a mentor, developing your leadership skills and specialist knowledge relevant to your clinical area and participate in unit projects, audits and contributing towards the organisation and administrative work of the unit.

Successful candidates:

The ideal candidate will;

• To assist in the assessment and implementation of patient care needs within the Operating Department and ensure all patients are treated in a professional manner and that confidentiality is adhered to.
• To provide skilled assistance in the Department without direct supervision.
• To demonstrate procedures to and supervise qualified and unqualified staff as required and appropriate.
• To perform Operating Department practice in accordance with agreed policies.
• To assist in the preparation of, clearing and cleaning of the theatres in accordance with the daily operating lists.
• To demonstrate an understanding of and use of specialist equipment.
• To ensure that agreed stock levels are maintained and consumption levels are monitored and utilised effectively.

• To participate in on-call duties to provide the Hospital with 24 hour cover.
